Christmas Party Night 2009

What a wonderful display of food you all brought along for the American supper part of our party night. It was so much that some of it was even taken back home! Eric quizzed us once again with some of the most obscure questions supposedly related to gardening, resulting in the Nicholls family winning both the first prize
for Graham and the booby prize for Iris. Many thanks to Eric for running the quiz and thanks to all of you who, in bringing along a good array of food, made the evening go with a swing. Below are a few photos taken by Richard.

Autumn Lunch at Conygre Hall, Sunday 22nd November 2009

Once again Jill organised a lunch for us all and once again the caterers came up with the goods.
Thanks to everyone concerned. The new layout of the tables were less formal and gave everyone a
sense of 'belonging'. Below are some photos taken by Richard that show how we enjoy these lunches.

Nothing like clapping yourself after singing a hymn but Mary seemed to have enjoyed it.

Craft Fair, Sunday November 1st at Conygre Hall.

Despite attrocious weather welcoming stall holders the Craft Fair started on time thanks to all the
fleet footed helper running backwards and forwards between cars and the hall helping stall holders to unload. Once inside we were greeted by the opulent surroundings of the previous day's wedding, drapes and chandeliers and in spite of Annette's misgivings it did add some extra ambience to the day.
The catering ladies and washing up staff worked overtime to keep things running smoothly whilst Colin
imlpored visitors not to spend all their money at the stalls but to save at least a pound to buy raffle tickets. You may recognise a few people below but to get a complete picture of the day click on this small poster.
