On Saturday 4th July the Horticultural Society, Wine Circle and friends took a coach trip to Wisley gardens. Beautiful, but very hot weather, gave many of us moderate sunburn but we all had a wonderful day. Here are a few photos taken in the gardens.

We were drawn towards the new glasshouse which held a variety of plants from sub tropical to tropical and featured a splendid waterfall.

Glorious weather welcomed our June 2009 meeting, a visit to Sherborne Garden at Litton.
This is a 4½-acre gently sloping garden of considerable horticultural interest featuring a mall pinetum, giant grasses, woodland garden and 3 linked ponds with bridges. Collections of hollies, ferns, Asian wild roses with hybrids and climbing species, hosta, hemerocallis, water lilies and unusual trees and shrubs. It is open during Feb/Mar for snowdrops, hellebores and daffodils. The garden tour finished with a welcome cup of tea or coffee.
